My favourite things in DC

Some of my favourite things have been the Martin Luther King Memorial - the piece from which the likeness has been sculpted was cut from the larger piece immediately behind - the detail of the figure is most precise from the top and gradually disappears into the rock face closer to ground level - beautifully executed and a fitting tribute. Next - a rather large piece of the Berlin Wall which was found by accident in the entry to John Hopkins University's International Studies Building. Bonus! And finally, the Textile Museum is currently located among the many Embassies on "Embassy Row".  If you can have Platform 9 3/4, then it should be okay to have fractional numbering elsewhere ..... the Textile Museum was wonderful - no photos allowed - the silk Kimono of the Empress of Japan (1922) was one of the most exquisite things I have ever seen. Woven magic.
